    WEAR A LITTLE BIT DIFFERENT

    Our producers:

    FREESET

We are the exclusive Australian distributor for Freeset.

More than a stitched piece of fabric, Freeset t-shirts and bags tell a story of freedom. For hundreds of women trapped in bonded labour and human trafficking. Freeset is in the business of restoring what has been stolen. Women given the opportunity to choose a new job and regain control of their lives in a caring community. Making Freeset Products is part of a women's journey to freedom. To her friends and neighbours among the thousands still trapped in the sex trade, she is a symbol of hope.

    COMMONGOOD

Working together to make a better world for us all. It’s hard to answer all the worlds problems, but it is easy to be part of the solution. In buying Common Good products you are part of a movement of consumers who care about the people and the places where the product is made, as well as the quality of the product they are buying.

We think this should apply to business as well.
We don’t employ people so that we can have a business.
We have a business so that we can employ people.
People need jobs. Jobs that not only feed and clothe them, but jobs that encourage them, develop them and help them reach their potential and dreams.
We don’t employ just any people, but the battlers of this world. Those that life hasn’t always been kind to, yet they continue to fight for the common good of their family and their community.

Most of our people have travelled in various ways to end up in Kolkata.
At some point, either themselves or their families had to choose to leave their homes in the hope of a better life in the city. But the big city offered a hope that it didn’t deliver on.

They now live on the banks of one of Kolkata’s open drains.
Within the structures of substandard housing, poor sanitation and lack of jobs, they have created a vibrant and joyful community where together they look out for each other and choose to celebrate whenever they can.

They continue to hold to the hope that they came with. Hope that they can find good jobs. Hope that they can provide for their families, educate their children and look forward to the future.

    Together, this is still possible.
And by doing this together, we all find a new way of being in the world, where good is more common for us all.

    THE LOYAL WORKSHOP

The Loyal Workshop was founded to provide an opportunity for freedom. Modern day slavery is a phenomenon that we are not prepared to be apathetic about. We believe that another world is possible; a world where sex slavery is relegated to the history books. It’s a brazen dream but we’re putting it into action in one city, in one red-light community, with one woman at a time.

We believe that business can be a tool to bring freedom to those trapped in slavery. Our business IS about freedom. Every product we create is part of a woman’s freedom journey. Thanks for your support.

Loyal produce beautiful handmade leather products, using ethical, full grain veg-tanned eco leather.
